My curtain is half closed but there is so much to see.

It is quiet but there is so much to listen to.

It is one of those rare peaceful moments...

This picture is so lovely. Like something snatched right out of a fairy tale. It looks as if it would not be impossible to step up to the window, take a deep breath of sweet midsummer night air, and actually fly into the sky towards that crescent moon.

The weather outside today really qualifies as Spring weather! This makes me happy because spring is my favorite time of year. I cannot wait for the last of the snow to melt and for the beautiful flowers to make their appearances. Then it will be time for sundresses, sandals, and picnics with ice cream. (though I've already skipped ahead to the ice cream part earlier this week)

Today I realized just how happy I am. It would take me a very long time to explain, so I won't try. It is a very refreshing sort of happy, not the usual kind. That kind passes quickly and usually does not leave this sort of impression. This sort of happy has left an impression, a sort of inspiration, I hope it stays with me a while.

Classes today somehow opened my eyes a little. Dance class was simply lovely. Something wonderful happened! It seems as if my prayers for a beautiful new year are being answered. My inspiring, happy, exciting day did not end after my morning dance lesson... A lovely compliment from a stranger at lunch, time to sketch a little in my notebook, then another inspiring and eye-opening class... Oh, exactly as if my eyes were being opened, then out into the winter wonderland to stroll along to my next class and just notice everything. The icicles hanging from the castle, the frosted trees...

Yes, there was something special about today. Please, let the new year continue this way.

I love staying up past midnight. Especially if I am the only one in the house who remains awake. Everything is quiet and still. I can think without being interrupted. And daydream... I tend to read or to work late into the night. I forget about time, and the hands of the clock slip by without notice. I wish time would sleep too, for once. I wish to enjoy my quiet midnight just a little longer... but no, I must be the one who sleeps.
